Security Management - Business Continuity
EXPERIENCE SUMMARY:
Dr. Fauth has over 39 years of experience as a security consultant, corporate security director, military intelligence & military police commissioned officer, as well as over ten years of experience as a university professor. He is Board Certified in Security Management and has been designated a Certified Protection Professional (CPP). Dr . Fauth has extensive experience in facility security risk/vulnerability assessment.
While attached to Michigan State, Dr. Fauth oversaw the police academy and was a member of the Michigan Law Enforcement Training Council. As a consultant, he assisted in the campus physical security review of Los Angeles City College and he evaluated a major city police departmen (Anderson, IN) for the U.S. Justice Department, Law Enforcement Administration.
Other areas of experience include the security evaluation of:
- 9 of the top 15 high rises in San Francisco
- The water system for the City of Pasadena, CA
- City of Mesa (AZ) municipal buildings including City Hall, Data Center, Court Building
- Evaluation of the Phoenix City Hall
- City of Phoenix Public Transit Headquarters and Maintenance yards
- Major Television Studio in Los Angeles with 35 structures around the entire perimeter of the studio covering several miles.
Additionally, Dr. Fauth has provided physical protection guidance to U.S. corporations operating in China as well as foreign businesses in Hong Kong and Vietnam, and he had designed security protection programs intended to impede or stop intrusion.
Dr. Fauth holds an Arizona Lifetime Teaching Certificate, issued by the State Board of Directors for the Community Colleges of Arizona, to teach law enforcement courses, whe he has taught at the community college level.
Dr. Fauth has taught full time for over a decade at several colleges and universities to include Western Illinois University (Assistant Professor), Carl Sandburg Communitity College, Northern Michigan University (Department Head and Associate Professor), Michigan State University (Graduate Assistant), Indiana University (Graduate Assistant). Dr. Fauth was responsible for teaching such academic courses as police administration, crime prevention, criminal investigation, theft control special studies in criminal justice, security techniques, fire and disaster management and others. As a Lieutenant Colonel in the US Army Reserves, LTC Fauth taught at the US Army Intelligence and Security School for 3 month tours of duty for several years, lecturing on variouse security programs. On his last seven year teaching assignment at Northern Michigan University, Dr. Fauth in addition to his teaching duties, was responsible as the Department Head & Associate professor for Criminal Justice academic curriculum development, course scheduling, hiring personnel, budgetary concerns, program implementation and the State of Michigan Regional Law Enforcement Training Center.
